LeBron James is giving game. The basketball icon has some fire advice for youth hoopers out there.
King James knows a thing or two about the sport, undeniably. It’s always great picking up pieces of wisdom from the superstar, whether it be about family, business moves, or on-the-court tips.
Most recently, ‘Bron’ commented on some advice that his agent and business partner, Rich Paul, gave to 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey. Paul said “It’s always Fit over Pick!! Why be in position for now, when you can be in position forever, through opportunity!!! No matter what pick you are drafted, it’s the starting point, not the finish.”
LeBron felt like this was ideal advice for young stars, and he echoed the same sentiments with some comments of his own. In his response, the 37-year-old stated…
“Simply doesn’t get talked about enough! It’s beyond TRUE!!!! Seeing and Picking up bad habits from the moment you’re drafted can derail your career forever!”
Do yourself a favor. Focus on the long run, and not the now. Life is a journey, and we’re all on our own paths. As Rich Paul said, it’s the start – not the finish.
