Young Thug and Gunna aren’t getting out. The rap stars’ requests for bond have been denied in separate hearings.
Just a few days ago, 28 people, including the two Hip-Hop artists, were arrested for violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). It’s been reported the 56-count indictment went after those affiliated with the Young Slime Life gang.
The charges brought forward included murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, drug possession, and many other offenses, all of which could result in the accused facing life in prison. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said in a press conference, “These are serious crimes, they’re serious allegations, and it is my opinion that violence in our community deserves maximum penalties.”
Both the rap superstars were denied bond at their individual court hearings as the judge declared them flight risks, so they will not be getting out of prison anytime soon. This case is blowing up Hip-Hop, so stay tuned for much more.
