BOBBY SHMURDA REJOICES OVER NEW YORK’S ‘RAP MUSIC ON TRIAL’ BILL

Bobby Shmurda is jumping for joy. The rapper has rejoiced after a new bill has been signed in his home state.

The New York State Senate has signed off on the “Rap Music on Trial” bill. The newly proposed law will stop cops and prosecutors from using Hip Hop artists’ lyrics against them during court cases.

The bill has been promoted by the likes of JAY-Z, Meek Mill, Killer MikeFat Joe, and Kelly Rowland among several other artists. Although the new bill is a little past Bobby’s time, as he served six years behind bars for weapons possession, the topic still hits home for him.

The lyrics of his 2014 megahit “Hot N***a” made him a target for law enforcement. In a new video shared by TMZ, Bobby shows his excitement over the matter, making sure song lyrics remain just that… lyrics. That’s how it should be, right?
