Hip-Hop is speaking up. 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, and more rap artists are weighing in with their thoughts on the most recent atrocity in the U.S. that left 19 children dead.
At least 19 children and two adults have died after a horrific school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday. The children are said to be all 4th graders, and the adults were their two teachers.
According to ABC News, the 18-year-old suspect, Salvador Ramos, who was a student at Uvalde High School, was shot and killed by police. He was armed with at least two military-styled assault rifle that he legally bought on his 18th birthday in Texas.
Law enforcement reported Ramos also killed his grandmother before making his way to the school. However, late last night, we learned the grandmother has survived and is in the intensive care.
In light of the situation, many rappers and stars are coming forward with emotions of anger and confusion while sending their condolences. 21 Savage and Deuces, as well as Missy Elliott, Chuck D, Offset, Metro Boomin, R.A. The Rugged Man, CHIKA, Living Legends’ Luckyiam, Page Kennedy and Public Enemy are among just some of the names to speak up.
May the young victims all rest in peace, and may prayers go out to them and their families. This needs to stop.
Until the next time it drips…
