Eminem has something dope for fans. The rap icon has dropped a 20th anniversary expanded edition of The Eminem Show.
The LP was released in 2002, and has since been certified a whopping 12x-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This week, Slim Shady revealed that an expanded version of the Billboard 200 juggernaut would arrive on May 26 in celebration of the classic’s 20th anniversary.
“‘Well, if you want Shady, this is what I’ll give ya,’” his caption reads. “#The EminemShow 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition drops Thursday 5/26.”
His tweet also featured a minute-long clip of album highlights, including “Without Me,” “White America,” “Sing For The Moment,” “Superman,” and “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” The Eminem Show sold over 284,000 copies on its first day, instantly becoming the biggest selling album of 2002, and has now sold over 27 million copies as of 2022.
While some argue the Detroit icon “fell off,” or isn’t as elite as he once was, no one can deny that he’s got quite the track record and is one of the best selling artists of all time.
Until the next time it drips…
