Roddy Ricch has a message for the police. He’s spoken up just 24 hours after being arrested on weapons possession charges.
The Compton native put in handcuffs on Saturday, June 11, shortly before he was slated to perform at the renowned Governors Ball. Authorities discovered a loaded firearm along with nine rounds of ammunition and a large magazine in his vehicle. It happened as he attempted to enter New York’s Citi Field that day.
Roddy and two other men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, and unlawful possession of the device. Thankfully, he was released from custody on Sunday afternoon, and all charges against him have been dropped, per the New York Daily News.
Despite missing out on the Gov. Ball, Roddy returned to the stage at MetLife Stadium for Hot 97’s annual one-day festival on Sunday. He then led a “f**k the NYPD” chant as the audience happily obliged in joining in. Now that’s how you stick it to the man.
