Fake Drake has milked his 15 minutes of fame to death, and it isn’t stopping. Following getting the boot from a club, he’s claimed it’s part of the promo for the real Drizzy’s new album.
The faux OVO boss has made headlines ever since Certified Lover Boy dropped back in September 2021, with club appearances, interviews, and more. Although there’s been little acknowledgement from the rapper himself, it seems like Fake Drake, real name Izzy, finally has the real Drake’s attention.
After getting kicked out of a Houston nightclub, Akademiks went to Instagram with footage of the incident. It shows promoter Chris Chizer calling out Izzy in the club and instructing security to remove him. “Fake Drake canāt be in Area 29,ā he says. āFake Drake canāt be in here, heās got to go!”
Drake ended up liking the Akademiks’ post, but this whole ordeal isn’t over with yet. Izzy went on Instagram Live where he explained the incident, and claimed it was staged to aid in promotion of the Canadian artist’s new dance album, Honestly, Nevermind.
It’s probably all cap, and by now we know to count on Fake Drake to keep milking the vague similarities he shares with the ‘6 God.’
