Outkast’s Big Boi, real name Antwan Patton, 47, is calling it quits after 20 years of marriage. The veteran rapper and his estranged wife, Sherlita Patton, 49, have finalized their divorced.
Per legal documents obtained by TMZ, the couple entered the final divorce decree in court in May, weeks after the iconic artist filed for divorce in April. In his filing, Big Boi said there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” between them, adding they had already separated and were living apart from each other.
Both parties have agreed to avoid “maltreating, molesting, harassing, harming or abusing” each other during the process, so all appears to be peaceful. After a split in 2013, the couple reconciled and signed a postnuptial agreement in 2016, outlining how they would split up their assets and debts going forward.
The two married in 2002 and share two grown kids together; daughter Jordan, 27 and son Cross, 21. Big Boi also has another grown son from a previous relationship.
