The man accused of killing Nipsey Hussle has been found guilty of murder. Eric Holder Jr. has been convicted.
Holder was found guilty of first-degree murder on Wednesday after six hours of deliberation by a Los Angeles jury, according to CBS News. The jury also found Holder guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, due to hitting two bystanders with bullets. Originally, he was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Nipsey was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store at Slauson and Crenshaw on March 31st, 2019. During the trial, prosecutors argued that Holder had a plan to kill Nipsey before shooting the late Hip-Hop star a horrible 10 times, also kicking him in the head.
Deputy District Attorney John McKinney Eric Holder and the rap icon had a dispute prior to the shooting that stemmed from rumors that Holder was a snitch. McKinny added, Nipsey was accompanied by two friends on that fateful day, though he didn’t have security with him.
Eric Holder will be sentenced in September and faces life in prison. Rest in peace Nipsey.
