JAY-Z SAYS HE IS NOT RETIRED FROM MUSIC

JAY-Z rarely does interviews. However, to the pleasure of many fans, Kevin Hart got him to sit down for an awesome conversation.

Hov agreed to sit down with the stand-up comedy star for an episode in the second season of his Hart to Heart series. In a teaser clip posted this week, the Roc Nation founder reflected on his brief three-year hiatus following the release of 2003 classic The Black Album.

News flash… he isn’t shutting out the opportunity of returning to the booth in the future.

“I tried that. I just needed a break. I was really burnt out at that time. I was releasing an album every year… I just looked up one day and was like, ‘I’m tired.’ I had never been on a vacation until I wanna say 2000 — my whole life. I was really burnt out in that moment.”

Jay doesn’t know exactly what’s ahead for him musically, and he’s not actively working on an album. While he made that clear, he isn’t ruling out making another LP in the future. Jay admitted…

“I’m not actively making music or making an album or have plans to make an album, but I never want to say that I’m retired.”

Let’s hope we’re not done receiving beautiful music from JAY-Z yet! Do you think he’s going to ever drop again? Let us know in the comments below.

Until the next time it drips…
