Iggy Azalea has no time for the haters. The rapper has responded to body shaming critics after a viral twerk video.
The “Fancy” rapper performed at the 2022 Long Beach Pride festival earlier in July and gave the crowd something extra to look at when her dancers incorporated twerking into their routine for 2013 hit “Work.” The booty-shaking clip went viral on social media and while browsing Twitter, Iggy noticed negative body shaming comments and couldn’t help but fire back at the critics.
She wrote in a matter-of-fact manner…
“It’s a good thing I genuinely feel happy about myself & my body cause y’all stay in every comment section talking the most sh*t about me & it’s very mean spirited & ugly. Ps. your man 100% wants to f**k me.”
The 32-year-old made sure to also clarify that her clap-back wasn’t for the original viral tweet, which seemingly complimented her, but rather Twitter replies and the comment sections on Instagram. She explained to a fan… “This is! I’m talking about the comment section.”
Regardless of what you think of Iggy and her music, it’s great to see her stepping up to the haters and not backing down from loving herself!
