CARDI B MAKES THINGS RIGHT WITH UK RAPPER LADY LESHURR

Cardi B is making things right (if there’s even a need for it). She’s come forward to remove an old song from streaming platforms.

She’s promised to remove her track “Cheap A** Weave” from streaming services after being called out by United Kingdom rapper Lady Leshurr. Originally dropped in 2015 prior to her breakthrough into mainstream popularity, the song is a remix of Leshurr’s “Queen’s Speech 4” freestyle, and has racked up over 4.5 million views on YouTube alone.

As Leshurr’s original song celebrated its seventh anniversary this week, the Birmingham-born artist tweeted about wanting the New York native to give her some bread for flipping one of her flagship freestyles.

She wrote on Twitter in response to a fan mentioning Cardi’s version…

“You mind asking Cardi if she can break me off a likkle change she used my beat/idea before her big break and is now a millionaire and I got paid 0.”

The Bronx rapper didn’t appear to be in the giving mood, however, as she replied to Leshurr’s tweet with, “I made like 2 dollars of that song ….you want the other dollar?”

Leshurr then let the “WAP” star know she’ll take her dollar, to which Cardi relented and promised her she’d get paid. Cardi B then promised…

“I don’t find the song on apple but if it’s on any streaming service I will be makin sure it’s takin down including YouTube. I will also make sure I send you your dollar.”

Check out the tracks below.

Until the next time it drips…
