HIP-HOP LEGEND COOLIO DEAD AT AGE 59

A Hip-Hop legend has died. It’s been reported that “Gangsta’s Paradise” artist Coolio has died at the age of 59.

The rapper, who achieved enormous success in the 1990’s, was visiting a friend late Wednesday afternoon when he passed away.

Coolio’s longtime manager, Jarez, says he went to the bathroom at his buddy’s house, but he didn’t come out after a while. That’s when the friend eventually went in and found Coolio laying on the floor, after repeatedly calling for him.

The friend then called EMTs, who arrived and pronounced Coolio dead on the scene. Jarez reported to TMZ the paramedics suspect he suffered cardiac arrest. An official cause of death has not been determined or released yet.

Coolio, real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr., came up in the Los Angeles rap scene in the late 80’s, but blew up in 1995 when he released “Gangsta’s Paradise” for the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film, Dangerous Minds.

May he rest in peace.

Until the next time it drips…
