QUAVO SAYS RAEKWON GAVE THE GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW PROJECT TITLE

Quavo got the green light. The Migos superstar has revealed Raekwon gave him the okay on the title of his newest project with Takeoff.

The two artists have the blessings of the Wu-Tang Clan icon, as confirmed by TMZ. The outlet caught up with Quavo earlier this week at LAX, ahead of the release of their new album Only Built 4 Infinity Links.

Interestingly enough, this is the same project that effectively drops Offset from Migos after a year-long feud.

The title of the LP is a direct reference to Raekwon and Ghostface Killah’s iconic 1995 album Only Built 4 Cuban Links, and Quavo says he got direct permission from Rae himself to pay homage with the new album. He noted…

“We most definitely hollered at Raekwon. It was all love. We gave him respect. We told him it’d be an honor, and we dropping this album called Only Built For Infinity Links. It’s inspired by y’all, so we just wanna let ‘em know we respect the OGs.”

The 31-year-old added…

“We most definitely love Wu-Tang. We got super love for Wu-Tang. But right now, this is what it’s about. Only Built For Infinity Links, the dynamic duo.”

The project drops October 7. Be sure to give it a listen!

Until the next time it drips…
