QUAVO SAYS THERE WOULD BE NO QUALITY CONTROL MUSIC WITHOUT HIM

Quavo is confident in his ability to garner fame. The former frontman of the Migos previewed his newest project, and one line stuck out to fans more than others.

In a video captured at an undisclosed studio, Quavo can be seen rapping along to one of the 21 tracks on his upcoming album. The project will feature Quavo and Migos rapper Takeoff as a duo. Former bandmate Offset is said to working on a solo project.

While neither the full song or its title are included in the clip, it begins with Quavo saying:

ā€œIf it weren’t for P, sh*t, it probably wouldn’t be no me/ And if weren’t for me, sh*t, it probably wouldn’t be QC.ā€

The “P” is likely a reference to Quality Control Music CEO, Pierre “P” Thomas. While it may seem like a bold claim to some people, Migos were actually the first act signed to Quality Control Music.

Per Billboard, however, label co-founder Kevin ā€œCoach Kā€ Lee was the one who brought the trio to the table, after he stopped managing rapper Gucci Mane. Coach K said in 2015…

ā€œPee wanted to do the label thing. I was like, ā€˜I’ll manage them.ā€™ā€

What do you think? Does Quality Control exist without Quavo? Let us know below.
