Quavo is confident in his ability to garner fame. The former frontman of the Migos previewed his newest project, and one line stuck out to fans more than others.
In a video captured at an undisclosed studio, Quavo can be seen rapping along to one of the 21 tracks on his upcoming album. The project will feature Quavo and Migos rapper Takeoff as a duo. Former bandmate Offset is said to working on a solo project.
While neither the full song or its title are included in the clip, it begins with Quavo saying:
āIf it werenāt for P, sh*t, it probably wouldnāt be no me/ And if werenāt for me, sh*t, it probably wouldnāt be QC.ā
The “P” is likely a reference to Quality Control Music CEO, Pierre “P” Thomas. While it may seem like a bold claim to some people, Migos were actually the first act signed to Quality Control Music.
Per Billboard, however, label co-founder Kevin āCoach Kā Lee was the one who brought the trio to the table, after he stopped managing rapper Gucci Mane. Coach K said in 2015…
āPee wanted to do the label thing. I was like, āIāll manage them.āā
