Kanye West has some people on his side. Lauryn Hill’s daughter, Selah Marley, has joined in on wearing his new controversial shirt.
His “White Lives Matter” shirt came under fire after he wore the garment at his Yeezy Season 9 show in Paris.
The 23-year-old, whose father is Rohan Marley, the son of late reggae legend Bob Marley, modeled the controversial garment on the runway herself during the exclusive fashion event in the French capital this week.
Kanye, himself, wore the shirt featuring the white supremacist slogan, a racist response to the Black Lives Matter movement. On the front of the shirt was an image of Pope John Paul II.
Selah Marley took to her Instagram Stories to defend the shirt and push back against people trying to “bully” her into changing her stance. She wrote…
“The past 24 hours has allowed me to realize that most of yall are stuck in a hive mind mentality. You do what the group tells you to do & think what the group tells you to think. Witnessing someone break free from ‘the agenda’ sends you all into such a panic that you will do whatever it takes to force them back into the box that you feel they should exist in. All morale & empathy is eliminated due to the fact you feel justified by your emotions.”
