LIL TJAY ARRESTED AGAIN OVER GUN CASE - BUT IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK

Rapper Lil Tjay was arrested in the Bronx, New York, for the second time in just two weeks on Thursday. The charges are gun-related, but they aren’t new.

The “F.N” artist, real name Tione Merritt, was picked up on a warrant, not because he was packing, but because a new judge on his case didn’t realize he was excused from a Friday court appearance.

How do we know? Alldaydrip.com has been in contact with his lawyer, Dawn Florio. She provided us with this statement…

“Lil Tjay was not rearrested for another gun charge. He was excused from appearing in court last Friday by the arraignment Judge. Another Judge revoked his bond and put him back in jail for missing court on Friday even though he was told by the first Judge that he did not have [to] appear.”

The celebrity attorney continued…

“Lil Tjay’s family posted the bail yesterday and he is free. It is so unfortunate that he had to be jailed for something that was not his fault.”

Alldaydrip.com has obtained proof that the rapper is indeed already free on bail. We’re told he paid a $60k bond.

The initial arrest on January 16th saw the artist taken into custody for possession of an unlawful firearm. Lil Tjay and his lawyer are vigorously fighting the case on the grounds that the NYPD search was unlawful.

This all comes after the multi-platinum-selling rhymer was gunned down on June 22nd last year, in Edgewater, New Jersey. Lil Tjay spent about six weeks in the hospital fighting for his life, with several shots to his chest and torso. Police say it was all over an attempted robbery.

As to his rearrest, it remains to be seen if Lil Tjay will be able to work out the confusion between the two New York City judges. Stay tuned for more updates.
