Veteran R&B star Ne-Yo and his wife, Chrystal Renay Williams, finalized their divorce late Wednesday. The artist, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, 43 years old, has agreed to pay Chrystal $1.6 million in cold hard cash.
TMZ reports Ne-Yo will also owe Chrystal $12,000 every month for their three small children. They share a 6-year-old boy, Shaffer Jr., a 4-year-old boy, Roman, and a 19-month-old girl, Isabella. The couple have agreed to share custody of the children.
Chrystal also gets $5,000 in spousal support every month for the next three years. Ne-Yo gets to keep three of the four homes the couple owns together and a Bentley.
The In My Own Words author will pay out an additional $150,000 cash so Chrystal can buy a new car. In addition, the multi-platinum singer will also fork over $20,000 to move Chrystal out of their marital home.
All of this, after the former lovers renewed their marriage vows less than a year ago in April 2022.
That beautiful spring quickly turned into a horrible summer as Chrystal blasted Ne-Yo online, alleging years of infidelity. She claimed Ne-Yo kept a “paramour” and alleged the two had a child outside of the marriage.
The mother of three would go on to file for divorce in August of 2022. Perhaps more details will emerge now that this chapter is finally over.
