You heard that right, rappers Quavo and Offset literally came to blows backstage at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards show. The ‘smoke’ went down right before Quavo took the stage to perform “Without You,” a song in tribute to Takeoff. Takeoff was shot to death on November 1, 2022, in Houston, Texas, during a reported dice game.
TMZ reports Quavo actually blocked Offset from sharing the stage with him during the performance. They say the “Messy” rapper got so upset that he was the one that started the fight. The men had to be broken up and held back from each other.
The producers of the Grammys were the ones who insisted Offset share the stage with Quavo to show unity. The veteran rap star was in no mood for kumbayas.
Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle, while Offset is his cousin, so the drama is a family affair… now, a violent one. No video of the incident has surfaced yet, but updates are soon to come.
