Taylor Swift shocked fans with her new hip hop-infused version of hit song, “Karma.” It features rising rap star Ice Spice for an electrifying 12 bars.
It’s all in an effort to push Taylor’s deluxe album, Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) to the top of the charts. The “Bad Blood” singer first let the world know about their new heat over social media on Wednesday. She said, in part…
“I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch.”
The album also includes more recordings of artist Lana Del Rey on the track, “Snow On the Beach.” The “Summertime Sadness” artist and Ice Spice appear to be the only two guest stars on the 23-song collection.
Midnights was Taylor’s 10th studio ablum and was first released October 21, 2022, on Republic Records. It was quickly deemed a “blockbuster” by Billboard.
The collection sold over three million album equivalent units in just its first week out. The record would soon surpass six million units in only two months, proving to be one of the hottest selling works of this era.
Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition) is expected to see number one on Billboard Top 200 in its first week out. Many industry onlookers are also betting on “Karma,” featuring Ice Spice, to be the number one single in the country by week’s end.
Right now it’s anyone’s guess which song will prevail. The reality is… only time and a globe full of diehard “Swifties” will tell.
For now, have a look at the visualizer that Taylor’s camp put out for the track, as we all wait patiently for her official music video to drop. Until the next time it drips…
