YNW Melly is speaking up. The Hip-Hop star has offered some words about his time in prison and his wellbeing to fans.
DJ Akademiks shared a video of a jail call with Melly online, following reports the rapper hitched a crazy plot to escape from prison. The Florida Sheriff’s Office made the claim during a court hearing on September 27,
During the call, Melly showed his appreciation for God and love to his fans for supporting him while he’s been behind bars. However, he did not address accusations he had plans to breakout.
He said during the call…
“This is YNW Melly. I just wanna let all my fans know that God is real and Jesus is real, you know what I’m saying? He has anointed my head with oil, you feel me? He has cleansed my soul. He has blessed me to really see the reason y’all love me, the reason everybody loves my music, is because of God. He gave me that gift. He is the reason I’m coming home – nobody else.”
Melly’s family continues to make predictions he will be home soon – the last assertion was that Melly would be home this past June. Perhaps the power of positive thinking is at play in this situation.
It’s good to know the artist is doing well, even though he continues to face extremely serious charges. YNW Melly, still, awaits trial in his double murder case.
