Atlanta rap star Latto has dropped her latest music video, “Put It On Da Floor.” BET’s Best New Artist of 2022 uploaded her new visuals on Monday, just a few days after the track hit streaming services.
This marks Latto’s second solo release of 2023. Her first track for the year was “Lottery,” featuring singer Lu KALA, released in February.
The Atlanta-bred rhymer has been busy ever since the success of her album 777 last year, which featured smash hit “Big Energy.” The track has been described as the artist’s breakthrough mainstream hit.
At its height, the clean version of the song was remixed with singing superstar Mariah Carey and producer DJ Khaled. It was originally released in 2021, but the song caught a buzz and ultimately made its way to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The industry, and specifically RCA Records, is eagerly waiting to see what fortunes Latto’s new offering “Put It On Da Floor” will hold. All bets say the rapper with 10.1 million Instagram followers will make 2023 every bit as hot as 2022.
