Lil Tjay is doing much better. New reports reveal the New York-bred rapper is in much better condition after getting shot on June 22nd.
After being brutally shot at a Chipotle in Edgewater, New Jersey, the star artist was rushed into emergency surgery. While he is still hospitalized, TMZ reports the “In My Head” crooner is now awake and talking.
Sources familiar with Lil Tjay’s situation told the outlet the 21-year-old is awake, alert, and speaking on his own. Doctors also have reportedly removed his breathing tube and on top of that, his voice sounds normal, which is amazing, considering he was shot multiple times in the neck and chest.
The positive update comes after three suspects allegedly responsible for the shooting were taken into custody by authorities. Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said Mohamed Konate attempted to commit an armed robbery on Tjay and two of his friends. Allegedly, Konate was the one that allegedly fired the almost-fatal shots.
Phew… We can’t stand to lose another young, promising artist to senseless violence this time. Get well soon, Lil Tjay.
