Rapper G Herbo had to plead guilty today in Atlanta for assaulting his baby mama, Instagram model and businesswoman, Ariana Fletcher. You’ll remember the rapper had an altercation with Fletcher, and TMZ reported that G Herbo apparently dragged her by her hair and also scratched up her arm pretty badly. The Fulton County Solicitor’s Office took his admission of guilt and declined to push for jail time.
Herbo’s lawyer, Tanya Miller, issued a statement saying the rapper is “eager to put this incident behind him and to move on with his life and his work—both in the studio and in the community.” She went on to say, “It is Herbert’s sincere desire to maintain harmony going forward while continuing to take care of his responsibilities to his family and to everyone else who depends on him.”
However, the circumstance is definitely not behind him yet. G Herbo is on probation for the next 12 months. In addition, he’ll need to complete 150 hours of community service and also need to finish 24 weeks of something called a “family violence intervention program.”
That ought to keep G Herbo busy a long time. Looks like the rapper will need to stay sharp in 2020 because violence against women should not and cannot be tolerated. It’s gonna be a long year, G Herbo, – chop chop.
